Community Consultations under CRBIFRERMP Phase I

The Flood and River Erosion Management Agency of Assam (FREMAA) is conducting a series of Community Consultations across various sub-project areas under the Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project (CRBIFRERMP) – Phase I.

The consultations are being organized to facilitate meaningful stakeholder engagement, disseminate project-related information, address community concerns, and strengthen participation in project implementation activities.

All stakeholders, including Project Affected Persons (PAPs), local residents, community representatives, civil society organizations, and other interested parties, are encouraged to participate in the consultations.

Agenda of the Community Consultations

The consultations will broadly cover the following agenda items:

1. Welcome address and participant introduction.
2. Overview and objectives of the consultation.
3. Discussion on the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and details of designated contact persons.
4. Awareness on the Land Acquisition (LA) process, including clarification of queries and concerns raised by stakeholders.
5. Documentation of proceedings, including photographs and attendance records with names and signatures of participants.
